Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy
The family domaine roots back to the end of the 19th century, and stretches over an area of about 9 hectares. The average age of the vines is 50 years in most of the plots with the oldest reaching 85 years of age. Gérard and his son Philippe are at the helm of the domaine, pursuing the long established wine-making philosophy. They work the vineyards traditionally with no pesticides. They also limit the number of pigeages to avoid over-extraction and keep wines naturally balanced. “We aim at producing pleasure wines, with balance and structure”, says Gérard Harmand-Geoffroy.
Gérard and Philippe produce the following wines:
– Gevrey-Chambertin village
– Gevrey-Chambertin vieilles vignes
– Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Les Champeaux
– Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru La Perrière
– Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru La Bossière
– Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
